Repair Instructions

9.15 Replacing the keypad and wiring

S/N 2015100001 –

Dismantle the drive wheel cover, saw chain and bar.
Separate the crankcase.
Refer to "Basic dismantle/assembly".

Remove the motor. See "Dismantling the motor".

Disconnect the wiring from the control unit. Note:
disconnect the wire bracket in the order shown in
figure 2.

Disconnect the brake-lever connector (D).
See figure 3.

Carefully remove the keypad from the crankcase.

Disconnect the wiring from the trigger switch. Refer
to "Dismantling the trigger switch"

Connect the wiring to the control unit and make sure
the sealing and bracket is attached properly. See
figure 2 for the correct order of attachment.

Place the stripe in the brake-lever bracket (B) as
shown in figure 3.

Place the wiring as shown in figure 3. Observe the
position of the tape (C).

Connect the brake lever connector (D). See figure 3

Connect the wiring to the trigger switch and put it in
place. Note! Refer to "Assembling the trigger switch"
for grease instructions.

Attach the keypad to the crankcase. Refer to "9.14
Replacing the keypad"

Assemble the chain saw. Refer to "Basic dismantle/
assembly".
