8.2 Assembling the hand guard

Exercise care to ensure the spring
does not fly out and causes person-
al injury. Wear protective goggles!

Make sure the brake pin is in the correct position.
See Figure 5a.

Place and tension the spring as shown in Figure
5b.

Secure the saw with assembly fixture
502 51 02-01. Align the hand guard heels as
shown in Figure 5c.
At the same time, pull the hand guard over on the
opposite side. See Figure 5d.
