Using the Unit

Intended Use
Use your palm cutter only for cutting the
fronds of oil palms and harvesting fruit.
The palm cutter with chisel is
designed for harvesting up to a
height of 1.80 meters.
The palm cutter with sickle is
designed for harvesting up to a
height of 5 meters.
NOTICE
Incorrect handling can damage the unit.
The PC 75 may be used with the chisel
only when the telescoping shaft is fully
compressed.

WARNING
Operate the unit only if the cutting
attachment is in good condition,
correctly sharpened and undamaged.
Operating with a damaged or cracked
cutting attachment (e.g. cracks in area of
cutting edge) can result in breakage –
risk of accidents.
NOTICE
The cutting attachment performs rapid
reciprocating movements during
operation – take care not to damage any
palm fronds, fruit bunches or palm
stems.
Preparations
Wear suitable protective clothing,

observe safety precautions.
Adjust the telescoping shaft to the
N
required length.
The PC 75 may be used with the
chisel only when the telescoping
shaft is fully compressed.
Start the engine.

Cutting Sequence
To allow the palm fronds and fruit
bunches a free fall, always cut the lower
palm fronds and fruit bunches first.
WARNING
Never stand directly underneath the
palm frond or fruit bunch you are cutting
– be wary of falling palm fronds and fruit
bunches. Note that palm fronds or fruit
bunches may spring back at you after
they hit the ground – risk of injury.
Clear away fallen palm fronds and fruit
bunches.
