Never attempt to modify the controls
or safety devices in any way.
Keep the handles dry and clean –
free from oil and dirt – for safe
control of the power tool.
Inspect the power tool for damage
or wear. Always replace damaged
parts.
WARNING
To reduce the risk of accidents, do not
operate the unit if it is not properly
assembled and in good condition.
Starting the Engine
Start the engine at least 3 meters from
the fueling spot, outdoors only.
Place the unit on firm ground in an open
area. Make sure you have good balance
and secure footing. Hold the unit
securely. The attachment must be clear
of the ground and all other obstructions
because it may begin to run when the
engine starts.
Your power tool is designed to be
operated by one person only. Do not
allow other persons in the work area –
even when starting.
Start the engine as described in the
instruction manual.
During Operation
Make sure you always have good
balance and secure footing.
In the event of impending danger or in
an emergency, switch off the engine
immediately by moving the slide control
/ stop switch to STOP or 0.
PC 70, PC 75
Your power tool is designed to be
operated by one person only. Do not
allow other persons in the work area.
Keep bystanders, especially children,
and animals away from the work area.
WARNING
This power tool is not
insulated against electric
shock. To reduce the risk
of electrocution maintain
a minimum clearance of
15 meters from electric
power lines.
15m (50ft)
To reduce the risk of injury from falling
palm fronds and fruit bunches, do not
allow any other persons within a radius
of 15 meters of your own position. To
reduce the risk of damage to property,
also maintain this distance from other
objects (vehicles, windows).
Maintain a minimum clearance of 15 m
between the bar nose and electric power
lines. Electricity can jump considerable
distances by means of arcing. Higher
voltage increases the distance electricity
can arc. Have the power switched off
before starting cutting work in the
immediate vicinity of power lines.
Never leave a running power tool
unattended.
Note that the cutting attachment
continues to run for a short period after
you let go of the throttle trigger –
flywheel effect.
The correct engine idle speed is
important to ensure that the cutting
attachment stops moving when you let
go of the throttle trigger. If the
attachment continues to move when the
engine is idling, have your dealer check
the machine and make proper
adjustments or repairs. Check and
correct the idle speed setting regularly.
Do not operate your power tool in the
starting throttle position – engine speed
cannot be controlled in this position.
WARNING
Take special care in slippery conditions
on slopes and uneven ground.
WARNING
Watch out for obstacles: Tree stumps,
roots, especially when moving
backwards – risk of stumbling.
Keep the work area clear – remove
fallen palm fronds and fruit bunches.
WARNING
Palm leaves may have pointed thorns –
wear protective gloves to reduce the risk
of injury.
