Working Technique with Chisel
Hold the control handle with your
N
right hand, and the shaft with your
left hand. Your left arm should be
extended to the most comfortable
position.
Note the different working techniques for
cutting palm fronds and harvesting fruit
bunches.

Cutting palm fronds
Position the chisel about 10 cm in
N
front of the palm frond.
Open the throttle and push the
N
chisel towards the palm frond and
cut through it.
Keep throttle open as long as the
N
chisel is in the cut – do not twist the
chisel in the cut.
Do not accelerate engine when the
N
chisel is no longer in the cut.
Cutting fruit bunches
Expose the fruit bunch – cut away
N
the surrounding palm fronds.
Position the chisel about 10 cm in
N
front of the fruit bunch.
Open the throttle and push the
N
chisel towards the fruit bunch and
cut through it.
Keep throttle open as long as the
N
chisel is in the cut – do not twist the
chisel in the cut.
Do not accelerate engine when the
N
chisel is no longer in the cut.
Harvesting fruit bunches
Position chisel's hook (1) on top of
N
the fruit bunch – do not apply
downward pressure with the chisel's
hook.
Pull the fruit bunch out with the
N
chisel's hook (1).
