Super slow recording function

It is possible to acquire smooth slow motion video by shooting with a different frame rate from the frame rate to play back.
This allows high-speed shooting of 120 fps/100 fps.

In [SYSTEM] menu → [FREQUENCY]/[FILE FORMAT]/[REC FORMAT], select the resolution, codec, and base frame rate for
recording images.
≥ Select the following items.
[FREQUENCY]
[59.94Hz]
[50.00Hz]

Select the [SYSTEM] menu → [SUPER SLOW] → [ON].
≥ This can also be set even with the USER button.

Press the REC button.
Super slow recording starts.
∫ Frame rate and effect
The slow motion effect during playback changes depending on the frame rate of the [REC FORMAT].

0 Super slow recording is not possible with any combination apart from the [FILE FORMAT] and [REC FORMAT] combinations shown in Step 1.
0 Audio cannot be recorded with the super slow recording.
0 The [CAMERA] menu → [SW MODE] → [AF SPEED] is fixed to [NORMAL].
0 The [RECORDING] menu → [TC/UB] → [FREE/REC RUN] is fixed to [REC RUN].
0 The following functions are canceled.
j Dynamic range stretcher function (l 136)
j Flash band compensation function(l 120)
j [i.ZOOM] (l 115)
j Digital zoom function (l 138)
j Pre-recording (l 126)
j [2 SLOTS FUNC.] (l 126 to 128)
j Interval recording (l 129)

0 In the following case, this cannot be set.
j When using the face detection/tracking AE&AF function
0 (When [FREQUENCY] is set to [59.94Hz])
There is a slight gap between the displayed frame rate for Super Slow Recording and the actual frame rate at which Super Slow Recording is
performed. Although [S.SLOW120] is displayed on the screen, the actual recording is performed at 119.88 fps.
0 It is not possible to adjust the shutter speed to a value slower than the limit imposed by the frame rate used for Super Slow Recording.
(Example) When [FREQUENCY] is set to [59.94Hz], the shutter speed cannot be adjusted to a value smaller than 1/120.
0 It may take time to stop recording even if recording is stopped right after recording is started.
0 When [SUPER SLOW] is [ON], the unit will restart after the following operation.
j When [FILE FORMAT] or [REC FORMAT] is changed to any item other than described in Step 1
0 The recording is paused when 10 hours has past from the time the recording was started. The recording is automatically resumed after few seconds.
With super slow recording, the recording time becomes less than 10 hours depending on the frame rate of the [REC FORMAT].

0 "h" is an abbreviation for hour and "min" for minute.
0 For information about recording functions that cannot be used simultaneously, refer to page 189.
