8-30 Cleaning the Paper Feed Roller and Separation Pad
Remove any dirt from the separation pad using a cloth
moistened with water and then wrung dry.
IMPORTANT
Remove stains by wiping the separation pad in the direction indicated by the arrow.
Use only a cloth moistened with water to clean the separation pad.
Re-attach the separation pad after drying it completely.
Re-attach the separation pad to the cassette with a spring, as
shown in the illustration
Squeeze the spring until you hear a click.
