Slide the side guides so that they closely fit the right and left
edges of the paper.
IMPORTANT
Be sure to set the paper guides to the paper width. Misfeeds or paper jam may
occur if the paper guides are too loose or too tight.
Loading paper in the multi-purpose tray is completed. Proceed to "Setting the Paper
Size for the Multi-Purpose Tray," on p.3-21.

Setting the Paper Size for the Multi-Purpose Tray

The printer does not have a paper size sensor for the multi-purpose tray. Please be
sure to set the correct paper size from the control panel. If you do not set the
correct paper size, misprints and paper jams will occur. The default paper size is
A4-size paper.

Press [Go] to take the printer off-line.
The printer goes off-line and is ready for settings to be made from the control
panel.
