Paper Handling

This section describes how to prepare the print media for use in your
MultiPASS C50.

Selecting Paper Types

One of the most important things you can do to achieve the best
possible print quality is to select the best medium for your particular
print requirements. See "Selecting the Print Media," on page 2-37 for
guidelines to help you choose the right media.

Printing on Envelopes

The MultiPASS C50's sheet feeder can hold up to 10 envelopes.
European DL envelopes and U.S. Commercial No. 10 (COM10)
envelopes are recommended. You may be able to stack envelopes of
other sizes in the sheet feeder, but Canon cannot guarantee consistent
performance on envelope sizes other than DL or Commercial No. 10.
Avoid printing on any of the following, as they can cause jams or
smears, or damage your MultiPASS C50:
Envelopes with windows, holes, perforations, cutouts, or double
flaps
Envelopes made with special coated paper or deeply embossed
paper
Envelopes using peel-off sealing strips
Envelopes containing letters
