High Precision Timer [Enabled]
Allows you to enable or disable the High Precision Event Timer. Configuration options: [Enabled]
[Disabled]
SATA Configuration
While entering Setup, the BIOS automatically detects the presence of SATA devices. The SATA Port
items show Not Present if no SATA device is installed to the corresponding SATA port.

SATA Mode [IDE Mode]
Allows you to set the SATA configuration.
Configuration options: [Disabled] [IDE Mode] [AHCI Mode] [RAID Mode]
If you want to use the Serial ATA hard disk drives as Parallel ATA physical storage devices, keep the
default setting [IDE Mode].
If you want the Serial ATA hard disk drives to use the Advanced Host Controller Interface (AHCI), set this
item to [AHCI Mode]. The AHCI allows the onboard storage driver to enable advanced Serial ATA features
that increases storage performance on random workloads by allowing the drive to internally optimize the
order of commands.
If you want to create RAID sets with LSI MegaRAID utility, or Intel® Matrix Storage Technology from the
Serial ATA hard disk drives, set this item to [RAID Mode].
