Appendix D – UTMC Guide
Urban Traffic Management and Control (UTMC) supports an open and modular
approach to the design and implementation of Intelligent Transport Systems.
The UTMC system seeks to make it possible for local authorities to integrate its existing
applications for example UTC with other systems such as VMS and to expand and
introduce new applications. The following diagram illustrates how the system
components are integrated within a UTMC system.
