Cause
The valves are dirty or worn.
The feed chemical has particles larger
than 0.3 mm.
Safety relief valve is open.
The safety relief valve is heavily worn
as the pressure line is greatly con‐
stricted.
Insufficient hydraulic oil in the power
end.
An oil inspection window is leaking.
The indicating dial is set incorrectly.
Operating diaphragm is ruptured and
the alarm has not sounded.
The motor is wired incorrectly.
The mains voltage has decreased.
There is a blockage in the pressure
line.
The system back pressure was
momentarily too high.
The operating diaphragm has rup‐
tured.
Solution
Repair the valves - see "Repair"
chapter.
Install an appropriate filter in the suc‐
tion line.
Unscrew the knurled head screw of
the safety relief valve.
Replace the safety relief valve and
remove any blockage from the pres‐
sure line.
Top up with hydraulic oil until the oil
inspection window is 1/3 covered -
see "Replacing the diaphragm" in the
"Repair" chapter.
Investigate and clear the cause of the
oil loss.
Replace the oil inspection window as
per the operating instructions.
Set the indicating dial - see "Cali‐
brating the dosing rate" in the "Repair"
chapter.
Replace the multi-layer dia‐
n
phragm immediately - see
"Replacing the diaphragm" in the
"Repair" chapter.
Replace the separating dia‐
n
phragm of the diaphragm rupture
sensor - see "Replacing the sepa‐
rating diaphragm of the dia‐
phragm rupture sensor" in the
"Repair" chapter.
1. Check the mains voltage and mains
frequency.
2. Wire the motor correctly.
Eliminate the cause.
Clear the blockage.
Clear the cause of the back pressure.
Replace the multi-layer dia‐
n
phragm immediately - see
"Replacing the diaphragm" in the
"Repair" chapter.
Replace the separating dia‐
n
phragm of the diaphragm rupture
sensor - see "Replacing the sepa‐
rating diaphragm of the dia‐
phragm rupture sensor" in the
"Repair" chapter.
