7.3. Roller conditioner's gearbox

Before you check the lubrication of the gearbox, remove the safety guard. Every day before
starting work, check the oil level and, if needed, refill after having removed the vent A on the top of
the gearbox (Fig. 50) The oil level can be checked through the check opening B on the side of the
gear. Refill the oil until it is visible in the check opening B. The oil level: about 0.5 l. Check oil
level when the cutterbar is on the ground. Removing the old oil from the gearbox is done through
the outlet C.

7.4. Chain drives of the roller and the scarifier

On Fig. 52 are shown openings through which the chains of the chain drives can be
lubricated. These points are additionally designated by N-75 labels. This procedure should be
repeated every 50 work hours of the machine.
