SCO UNIX

The Adaptec RAID Installation CD contains a driver for each version
of SCO. You use the CD to create driver disks. Two disks are
required to store all of the drivers. To create the driver disks

Start up the system from the CD and select Create driver disks.

Select the SCO operating system you are using.

Insert floppy disks when prompted until all drivers are copied.
Alternatively, you can use the
directly from the CD to a floppy disk. The following disk images are
on the Adaptec RAID Installation CD:

Caution: When adding a Zero Channel RAID (ZCR)
controller to an existing system, backup all data from
system drives prior to the installation. If the boot device is
connected to one of the onboard SCSI channels, the
operating system will need to be reinstalled after installing
the ZCR controller.

Installing the Driver in a New OpenServer 5.0x System

In this scenario, you are installing SCO UNIX OpenDesktop 3.x or
OpenServer 5.0x on a single drive or array group. To install the
driver

Start up the system with the SCO UNIX start disk.

For OpenServer 5.0x, at the start prompt type
defbootstr ahslink=dpti5
For OpenServer 5.04 or later, at the start prompt type
defbootstr link=dpti5
