Motor brake and stop operation

5.10.3 Stop selection (Pr. 250)

Used to select the stopping method (deceleration to a stop or coasting) when the start signal turns OFF.
Used to stop the motor with a mechanical brake, etc. together with switching OFF of the start signal.

REMARKS
Stop selection is invalid when the following functions are activated.
Power failure stop function (Pr. 261)
PU stop (Pr. 75)
When setting of Pr. 250 is not 9999, acceleration/deceleration is performed according to the frequency command, until start
signal is OFF and output is shutoff.
NOTE
When the start signal is turned ON again during motor coasting, the motor starts at Pr. 13 Starting frequency.

The start signal is turned OFF, and the motor coasts to a stop after the
specified time period.
When the start signal is turned OFF, the motor decelerates to stop.
For manufacturer setting. Do not set.

Decelerate the motor to a stop
Set Pr. 250 to "9999" (initial value) or "8888".
The motor decelerates to a stop when the start signal
(STF/STR) turns OFF.

Coast the motor to a stop
Use Pr. 250 to set the time from when the start signal
turns OFF until the output is shut off.
The output is shut off when the time set in Pr. 250 has
elapsed after the start signal had turned OFF. The motor
coasts to a stop.
The RUN signal turns OFF when the output stops.
