This manual will show how to measure oxygen or binary gas mixtures easily using the
501 Analyzer.

The XTP501 Analyzer is based on Michell Instruments' advanced proprietary Thermo-
Paramagnetic technology. It measures the percentage of oxygen in a wide range of
gases, including nitrogen, hydrogen, carbon dioxide, methane and biogas. The XTC501
Analyzer uses our thermal conductivity sensor to measure a target gas such as hydrogen
in a background gas such as nitrogen. In both Analyzers the sensor is housed in a
splash-proof casing – IP55 rated.
