PISTON SKIRT O.D.
Measure and record the piston O.D. at a point 10 mm
(0.4 in) from the bottom of the skirt and 90° to the piston
pin bore.
WB20XT2:
STANDARD:
SERVICE LIMIT: 59.845 mm (2.3561 in)
WB30XT2:
STANDARD:
SERVICE LIMIT: 67.845 mm (2.6711 in)
If the measurement is less than the service limit,
replace the piston (page 13-5).
Inspect the cylinder sleeve I.D. (page 13-6).
PISTON-TO-CYLINDER CLEARANCE
Subtract the piston skirt O.D. from the cylinder sleeve
I.D. to obtain the piston-to-cylinder clearance.
WB20XT2:
STANDARD:
SERVICE LIMIT: 0.12 mm (0.005 in)
WB30XT2:
STANDARD:
SERVICE LIMIT: 0.12 mm (0.005 in)
If the calculated clearance is more than the service
limit, replace the piston (page 13-5) and recheck the
clearance.
If the clearance is still more than the service limit with
the new piston, replace the cylinder barrel (page 13-4).
PISTON PIN BORE I.D.
Measure and record the piston pin bore I.D. of the
piston.
WB20XT2:

SERVICE LIMIT: 13.048 mm (0.5137 in)
WB30XT2:
STANDARD:
SERVICE LIMIT: 18.048 mm (0.7105 in)
If the measurement is less than the service limit,
replace the piston (page 13-5).
Inspect the piston pin O.D. (page 13-8).
