Troubleshooting

Risk caused by toxic and hazardous vapours, gases and substances (e. g. bacteria, viruses). Have specialist
staff carry out troubleshooting and fault elimination. If the backwater lifting station is located in an inspection
chamber, any necessary work must always be done by persons specially trained to work in this environment
(see 2.2).
Acknowledging a fault message:
Press the alarm key <69> (see Fig. [23], page 67) for approx. 4 seconds, the acknowledgement signal
sounds, the alarm signal has been reset.

Possible cause
Battery is missing, is faulty or
voltage less than 15.5V
Wrong rotary field for mains
connection
Hose on the screw fitting to the
immersion pipe (or plunger) or
control unit leaking
Hose on the screw fitting to the
immersion pipe or control unit
has been pulled off completely
Battery voltage of the extension
device is too low
Redundant valve cannot be
closed completely, i.e. flap is
blocked by an object
Backwater has been detected
and
redundant valve cannot be
closed completely, i.e. flap is
blocked by an object
The flap motor of the redundant
valve has a malfunction or is
faulty

Remedial measure
Check battery connection, if
necessary replace battery (see
control unit instructions)
Swap 2 phases of power cable
Check airtightness of the
pressure sensor system
Disconnect the system from
the mains and check the
pressure sensor hose, replace if
necessary
Replace the battery on the
control unit for Ecolift XL
redundant valve
Disconnect the mains plug on
the control unit for Ecolift XL
redundant valve, disconnect the
battery; Open the flap cover and
remove the blockage, put the
system back into operation
Following the end of backwater
remove the blockage as
described above
Check the flap motor and
replace if necessary
