7.13.2.

REFITTING THE DRIVE CHAIN

Read 1.2.1 carefully.
•
Check that the chain is correctly positioned on the front
and rear sprockets.
•
The chain open ends should be in the lowermost
portion of the chain midway between the sprockets.
•
Overlap the two ends and slide the master link pins in
place from the inboard side outwards.
•
Locate the link plate to the pins.
•
Fit the clip (1) to the pins.
WARNING
The master link clip (1) must be installed with
the open end pointing away from the direction
of chain movement.
