Each line on
tape always equals one line on form, regard-
less
of line
spacing.
In
measuring a control tape for eight
lines
per
inch spacing, every 1/8 inch on the form repre-
sents
one line on the tape.

ruler calibrated in 1/8 inches on form to be
controlled.

number of 1/8 inch increments from top of
form to first printing line.
Count
down
tape same number of lines and mark
desired
channel.
Count
down
number of 1/8 inch increments from

of form
to each predetermined print
location.
Count down
tape same number of
lines

Mark
overflow and
bottom
edge of form in manner
described
in steps 4 and 5.
PUNCHING A TAPE
1.
Insert
t.ape in punch and place line to be punched
over guide line on
base
of punch.
2.
Place
center feed holes of tape over pins
projecting
from
base.
3.
Turn
dial
(or indicator slide) until arrow points to
number of channel to
be
punched.
4.
Press down
on top-rear of punch.
5.
Repeat
steps 1 through 4 for each marked channel
on tape.
