Turn form
advance
knob until
block,
line or area on
which first line of print is to occur is
just
visible
above print position indicator (0).

Align
desired
print position to form with horizontal
prin t vernier.
19.
Release paper
brake,
turn platen positioning control
fully counterclockwise, and raise print
position
indicator.
20.
Turn form advance knob
backward
ten line spaces
if in six-line drive, or 12 line spaces if in eight-line
drive.
21.
Reset paper brake
and platen positioning controls
to desired settings. Lower print position indicator.
22.
Restore
carriage tape to first printing line
by
pressing CARRIAGE RESTORE.

Set
manual clutch to IN.
24.
Close top cover on printer.
25.
Position
paper supply so forms feed straight up
into machine.
26.
Press RESET
and then START to place printer in
ready status.
27.
When printing
begins, attention is required
behind
printer. The first forms must
be
adjusted in
stacker so they fold flatly.
SWITCHING THE SIX-TO-EIGHT LINE DRIVE
1.
Raise
top cover of printer to gain access to drive shift
controls.
2.
Raise
six-to-eight line drive cover (A).
3.
Release
tension lock release
lever
(B) by pressing
back
on lever.
