Remove new typebar from its case.
8.
Place pointed end of typebar into opening in right
side of typebar guide (E).
9.
Line up flag (F) and type segments on typebar with
slot in typebar guide and push typebar (G) slowly in-
to guide. Push in straight line parallel to typebar guide.
10.
While rotating typebar insertion wheel (H) in counter-
clockwise direction, grasp type bar at cutaway por-
tion of guide

and push it in to engage drive wheel.
11.
Using type bar insertion wheel, align typebar flag
with decal on typebar guide. Left edge of top portion
of flag is alignment position for 39, 52, and 63
character typebars. Right edge of top portion of
flag "is alignment position for 13 character typebar.
12.
Turn typebar motor switch (1) to ON.
13.
Turn typebar selector switch (K) to correspond with
typebar inserted.
14.
Close cover of prin ter.
15.
Press RESET and then START to place printer in
ready status.
