4.
Move drive belt (C) to pulleys corresponding to
desired line drive. Pulleys on left are six line
drive.
Pulleys on right
are eight
line drive.
5.
Verify that ribs on belt and gears on pulleys are
meshed.
6.
Press down
on tension
lever (D) to remove slack
from belt. Drive belt should be snug on
pulleys.
7.
Release
pressure on tension
lever.
Tension on
drive
belt should be automatically locked
by
tension
lock
mechanism.
8.
9.
Close cover
of
six-to-eight line drive and top cover
of printer.
Press
RESET and
then START to place
printer in
ready status.
REMOVING OR INSERTING A TYPEBAR
1.
Raise
top cover of
printer to gain
access
to typebar
and
controls.
2.
Turn typebar motor
switch
(A) to TYPEBAR
RE-
MOVAL. If
inserting
typebar
,
continue with step
7.
3.
Manually
rotate typebar insertion wheel (B) in
clockwise direction until typebar is disengaged from
drive wheel.
4.
Grasping
typebar
at
cutaway
portion of type
bar
guide (C),
move type bar to right until it
protrudes
fro
guide.
s.
Pull
type
bar
(D)
in straight line parallel to the guide.
Use
caution
when pulling type bar
from
machine as
any bending
force may
result in damage to type
bar.
6.
Place
type
bar in
its case
an
d
store
on flat surface.
