CLEARING A SYNC CHECK CONDITION

Raise cover of printer to gain access to typebar and
typebar controls.
Using typebar insertion wheel, align type bar flag with
decal on typebar guide. Left edge of top portion of
flag is alignment position for 39, 52, and 63 charac-
ter
typebars. Right
edge
of top portion of flag is
alignment
position for 13 character typebar.

Verify that typebar
selector
switch
is
set
to
corre-
spond with type bar
in
machine.
Close cover
of
prin
ter.
Press RESET
and then
START
to return
printer
to
ready status.
If
sync check persists,
notify a customer
engineer.
CLEARING A PARITY CHECK CONDITION
A parity check can be cleared by the program. A branch-
if-indicator-on
instruction testing
the parity
indicator,
causes the parity check to be reset. If a parity check is
not reset by
the
program
,
it can be reset manually using
the
following steps.
1.
Press RESET
to clear parity check
conditio
n.
2.
Press START
to
place printer
in ready status.
3.
If parity check persists
,
notify
a
customer engineer.

carriage controls.
Clear
any form
jams that have occurred.
Verify that form guide plates and tractor doors
are seated
correctly.
Verify that form tractors are set properly.
