5.
Rotate drum by hand, keeping paper smooth and
flat against drum surface.
6.
Fasten bottom edge of paper (D) in same manner
as
top edge.
7.
Reinstall pen assembly (E).
8.
Turn power switch to
ON.
If pen does not raise
when power is turned on, turn pen switch to DOWN
,
then to UP.
ASSEMBLING
THE PEN
1.
Unscrew cap from holder.
2.
Insert pen (A) into plunger (B)
3.
Insert pen and plunger into holder (C).
4.
Screw cap (D) onto holder.
Note:
Since the life span of the pen is approximately 5
to 7 hours of writing, it may be desirable to replace the
pen before plotting a critical project. Cleaning the pen
tip
after
each hour of use is also recommended, to
prevent blotting.
CHECKING
PLOTTER OPERATION
1.
Install graph
paper
and
pen assembly
.
2.
Turn power and chart
drive switches t
o ON.
3.
Turn pen switch to
DOWN
and
drum fast run .switch
to UP. Verify that
pen traces a vertical line.
4.
Turn pen switch to
UP
and
verify that pen
lift
s
off
surface of
paper.
5.
Turn pen switch to DOWN and drum fast run switch
to
DOWN.
Verify that pen re traces vertical line
drawn in step 3.
6.
Turn carriage fast run switch to left and verify that
pen traces a horizontal line. When carriage reaches
its limit of travel, turn carriage fast run switch to
right, and verify that pen retraces horizontal line.
