timing?
3 Replace the paper positioning
plate motor. Is the problem
corrected?

No Replace the sensor.
Yes Replace the saddle
stitcher controller
PCB.
No Check the positioning
plate drive mechanism.
If a fault is found,
correct it. Otherwise,
go to step 3.
