Remove the housing cover and pull the main

filter element off.

Pull the safety element (Fig. 137) out by turn-

ing it lightly.
Push in a new safety filter element.

Reassemble main filter element and cover.

5.39 Adjust the scrapers
Smooth drum
Check adjustment and condition of front and

rear scrapers, if necessary adjust or replace
the scraper rubber.

In order to adjust the scrapers 2 (Fig. 138),

slacken the fastening screws (1) in the slots
and push the scraper towards the drum to con-
tact.
Retighten the fastening screws.

Padfoot drum
Check adjustment and condition of front and

the scraper rubber.
