Hazards caused by the product

Hazard due to harmful atmosphere
There is a risk of a hazardous atmosphere occurring in the inspection chamber during work. Make sure the
system is well aerated and use safety equipment such as e.g. a multi-gas warning device if appropriate.
Noise hazard
Operation of the pumping station can cause a high noise level. Wear appropriate protective equipment if
necessary and take sound-insulating measures.
Heat hazard
Burning hazard on touching hot surfaces. When in operation for longer periods, wastewater pumps develop a
high temperature on the housing surface. Wear protective equipment (gloves) or allow the pumps to cool down
accordingly.
Hazard due to unexpected starting up of the wastewater pump
The wastewater pump can start up without warning if the pumping station is not disconnected from the mains.
Always have specialist staff remove the wastewater pump and only after the system has been cleared and
secured against being switched on again unintentionally.
Drowning hazard in the system chamber
In the event of a flood, a system chamber can fill with water within a very short time. If there is a risk of water entering,
the inspection chamber must not be entered until there is no danger involved.
Before opening housing covers, plugs and cables (including those on floating contacts) they must be safely isolated
from the power supply (de-energised). Work on electrical components may only be carried out by skilled personnel
(see 3.2).
