Maintenance preparation

Make sure that the inlet to the pumping station is not used during maintenance work.
–
Make sure that the pumping station cannot be switched on accidentally during maintenance work. This applies in
particular if the control unit is in a different room than the system tank.
6.4
Maintenance tasks
6.4.1
Replace battery
•
Proceed as described in the operating instructions of the control unit.
6.4.2
Clean the pumping station
•
Lower the wastewater level in the system tank to a minimum. To do this, switch on the wastewater pump until the
pump draws in air (see 5.6).
Cleaning the wastewater pump
ATTENTION: If the one-handed closure <3> is opened, the water in
the pressure pipe <4> flows out freely.
•
Open the one-handed closure on the riser; to do this, swing the lever
<3> in the direction of the arrow.
•
Remove the wastewater pump; to do this, use suitable lifting gear to
pull the pump <2> slowly upwards and out of the chamber.
•
Make sure that the wastewater pump intake is free from suspended
matter and solids, clean if necessary. In case of stubborn dirt, remove,
clean and re-install.
Cleaning the submersible bell
• Clean the submersible bell <9> so that it is free from adhering dirt
and deposits.
