Empty Water Tank

Turn off the engine.
Place a suitable collection container under the filter.
Electrical connection - Disconnect the cable connections.
Loosen the drain plug.
Drain the liquid until pure diesel fuel comes out.
Mount the drain plug.
Tightening torque of 1.6 ± 0.3 Nm
Electrical connection - Connect the cable connections.

Change the Fuel Pre-Filter Insert

Turn off the engine.
Shut off the fuel supply to the engine.
Place a suitable collection container under the filter.
Electrical connection - Disconnect the cable connections.
Remove the drain plug and drain the liquid.
Remove the filter element.
Clean any dirt from the sealing surfaces of the new filter element and the opposite side of the filter
head.
Apply a bit of fuel on the filter element sealing surfaces with fuel and screw it back on the filter head
clockwise, tightening torque (17-18 Nm).
Mount the drain plug.
Tighten the drain plug with a torque of 1.6 ± 0.3 Nm
Electrical connection - Connect the cable connections.
Open the fuel supply and vent the system, see venting the fuel system.

Vent the Fuel System

The fuel system is vented through an electric fuel supply pump.
To avoid fuel system error messages, do not start the engine while venting the system.
This process is performed as follows:
Ignition ´ON´ The electronic fuel pump is switched on for 20 seconds to vent the fuel system and
generate the desired fuel pressure. Wait until the electric fuel pump has disconnected from the control
unit.
Ignition ´OFF´ Repeat this process at least twice until the fuel system has been vented.
