Operating the Tractor

1. Before starting the tractor, apply the parking brake, place the PTO lever in the 'OFF' position, the
hydraulic control lever in the lower position and put the gear shift lever in neutral position.
2. Do not start the engine or controls while standing next to the tractor. Always sit in the tractor seat
when starting the engine or controls.
3. To prevent the tractor from starting accidentally, a safety switch is installed. The starter system of the
tractor is connected via this switch, which allows starting the tractor only when the clutch pedal is
depressed (on models equipped with a manual transmission). On some models, the reverse shift lever
and the PTO button must also be in the neutral position to start the starter circuit. Do not bypass or
disable the starter safety switch. If the safety switch fails, contact a Zetor authorized service / dealer
for advice.
4. Avoid accidental contact with the shift lever while the engine is running. Such contact may cause the
tractor to move unexpectedly.
5. Do not get off or climb the tractor while it is in motion.
6. Switch off the engine, remove the ignition key and apply the parking brake before leaving the tractor.
7. Do not use the tractor in an enclosed building without adequate ventilation. Exhaust fumes can cause
intoxication or death.
8. Do not park the tractor on a steep slope.
9. If the power steering or engine is blocked, stop the tractor immediately.
10. Use only the lower swinging hitch or the draw bar connected to the 3-point hitch lower link in the down
position. Always use a lockable pin to secure it. Attaching the drawbar to the rear axle bracket or any
other point on the rear axle can cause the front axle to be lifted and the loss of control over the
machine.
11. If the front part of the tractor tends to lift when a heavy implement is attached to the three-point hitch,
install the front ballast weights or front axle ballast weights. Never operate a tractor with a lightweight
front axle.
12. When attaching equipment / implements and transporting equipment, always use the hydraulics
position control lever. Ensure that the hydraulic couplers are properly mounted and they disconnect
safely if the implement is accidentally released.
13. Do not leave the equipment / implement in the raised position.
14. When driving on public roads during both day and night time, use warning lights, direction indicators /
warning signs and slow moving vehicles (SMV) signs unless prohibited by law.
15. Dim the tractor lights when meeting another vehicle at night. Make sure that the lights are adjusted to
avoid dazzling the eyes of the oncoming vehicle driver.
16. Emergency stop instructions: If the tractor does not stop after braking, pull out the fuel shut off control
lever.

Driving the Tractor

1. Watch where you are going, especially at the side of the road, headlands, around trees and low
obstacles.
2. To prevent the tractor from rolling over, drive the tractor at a safe speed, especially when driving on
uneven ground, when driving over ditches or slopes, and when turning in corners of areas and plots.
3. When driving on the road, lock the tractor brake pedals together to ensure proper braking of the
wheels.
4. When driving down a slope, shift the same the gear as when driving uphill. Driving downhill a slope
without a gear shifted is prohibited.
5. Any towed vehicle and / or semi-trailer with the total vehicle weight exceeding that of the towing
tractor, must be fitted with its own brakes for safe operation.
6. If the tractor gets stuck or its tires are frozen to the ground, try to reverse to prevent the tractor from
rolling over.
7. Always check the overhead clearance, especially when transporting the tractor.
