adapter turned on?
Is the modem or terminal adapter prop-
erly connected to a phone line?
Is the COM port to which the modem
or terminal adapter is connected the
same as the COM port in the connec-
tion account?
Is the dial-up procedure performed
correctly?
Isn't another user accessing the
SV8300 modem?
Corrective action
If any type of cable other than the PCPro cable (RS CON-
SOLE CA-A) is used, replace with the correct type of
cable.
A loose cable may result in a failure to establish a link
between PCPro and the SV8300. Reconnect the cable
tightly.
If the cable is faulty, replace with new cable.
If the PC COM port is used by another application, exit
that application before retrying the connection operation.

Corrective action
Turn on the modem or terminal adapter.
Connect the modem or terminal adapter to a phone line
properly.
If two modem ports are available, connect the modem or
terminal adapter to the LINE terminal.
Display the connection account and verify the settings.
