8.3 Engine

The product has an air-cooled engine from Briggs &
Stratton. Information about engine repairs are not given
in the workshop manual. Refer to the engine manual
supplied by the engine manufacturer.

8.4 Transmission

All AWD products have hydrostatic transmission.
Forward and rearward pedals adjust the speed. AWD
products have permanent four-wheel drive, no
differential lock is necessary. The hydraulic pump that
supplies oil to the front and rear transmissions is in the
rear transmission. Cables from the forward and rearward
pedals operate the hydraulic pump.
The hydraulic oil filter is found in the rear section of the
rear transmission. The hydraulic tank is found above the
rear transmission.

The illustration shows the front transmission from above.
The transmission contains a hydraulic motor, a
differential and a drive shaft. To move the product
without the front transmission operation engaged there
is a mechanical bypass valve. The bypass valve is
operated with a lever adjacent to the front left wheel.
The bypass valve must be closed when operating or the
front transmission will be drained of oil.
The illustration shows the rear transmission from above.
To move the product without the rear transmission
operation engaged there is a hydraulic bypass valve.
The bypass valve is operated with a control behind the
rear left wheel.
The hydraulic oil is drained through two plugs on the
bottom of the transmission. One plug drains the
hydraulic motor and the other plug drains the differential.
