11. Loosen the locknuts (A) and the spring (B).

12. Remove the cable from the parking brake lever (C).
13. Remove the snap ring and lift the hydrostatic
transmission fan.
14. Remove the rear belt from the idler pulley and
remove the pulley.
15. Remove the snap ring (A) and washer from the
pivoting rear axle and pull off the rear frame.

16. Remove the snap ring and washer from the inner
groove on the pivoting rear axle (B).

17. Pull out the pivoting rear axle from the rear. Use a
slide hammer or a puller if it is necessary.
18. Replace the dirt protection (A) if it is damaged.
9.1.6.2 To replace the bushings on the pivoting rear axle
CAUTION: When the pivoting rear axle is
removed, replace the bushings in the rear
frame.
1. Remove the bushings with a drift. Refer to
tools on page 15
2. Attach the new bushings with a drift. Make sure that
the grooves in the bushings run horizontally.
3. Align the outer edges of the bushings with the outer
edge of the hole.
4. Lubricate the bushings with a lithium based grease.
