Auto Quality Start Mode
Auto Quality Start is done if the user does not select Quality Start mode. (It can be
disabled with a user tool.)
In Auto Quality Start mode, the idling
motion depends on how long the
machine was not in use and on the
temperature detected by the
thermistor [A] in the drum.
The CPU detects a low temperature
condition if the thermistor [A] reports
approximately 15 °C or lower. If the
detected temperature is 28 °C or
higher, it is a high temperature
condition.
The number of drum idling rotations
depends on temperature and period of
machine inactivity, as shown in the
following table.
NOTE: SP3-91 to 3-93 can change
the number of rotations for each of these conditions.
