6.8.2 DRUM MASTER CLAMPER AND METAL SCREEN

NOTE: Remove the cloth screen first.
1. Remove the drum clamper [A].
NOTE: To remove the clamper screws on the
operation panel side, turn the drum into
position and pull out the lever [B]. To
rotate the drum, release the stopper [C]
on the rear of the drum.
CAUTION: 1) When replacing the drum clamper, install the spring on the opposite
side as shown in the illustration.
2) Do not settle the drum unit upside down. However, if you do settle it
upside down, wipe off the ink around the ink roller beforehand (using
SP 2-40, select OFF in ink detection mode, and feed paper until ink
ends).
2. Remove the metal screen [D].
