Sets the month, day, and year to appear
on system display phones (MLS-12D and
MLS-34D). Including leading zeroes for

System displays times as a.m. or p.m.
DIAL #103

to assign the same number of outside

entering 6 means that all extensions are
assigned lines 1-6.)
DIAL #104

lines in the system (1 to 8)
2 per 200 or 206 module

SYSTEM
TRANSFER RETURN RINGS
For all system extensions, defines the
number of times transferred calls ring
before returning to the extension that
transferred the call (or to a programmed
Transfer Return Extension, #306).
NOTE: For fax or answering machine
extensions, set this number to be greater
than the ring delay for the device, to
prevent calls from being returned before
the device answers
DIAL #105
DIAL one digit for the number of rings
before the call returns (0 to 9)
4 rings
0 rings = no return
PBX DIAL-OUT OCDE
If your system operates in PBX/Centrex
mode (#721), this procedure identifies the
digit you dial to an outside line.
DIAL #106
DIAL the digit for the code needed to
reach the PBX or Centrex (0 to 9)
= 9
RECALL TIMER DURATION
The Recall feature sends a timed signal
(switchhook flash) to the local phone
company or to the PBX/Centrex system to
which your phone system is connected
This setting changes the length of the
signal in 25-millisecond (msec) incre-
ments. (For example, 01 = 25 msec,
80 = 2000 msec.)
Factory setting is correct for most PBX
systems. Change the factory setting
only if:
your system is connected to a Centrex
system (set to 32 = 800 msec for most
Centrex systems).
using Recall drops calls (shorten the
time).
using Recall has no effect—i.e., no dial
tone (lengthen the time).
DIAL #107
DIAL two digits to set the length of a
switchhook flash (01 to 80)
= 18 (450 msec)

ROTARY DIALING TIMEOUT
Change the factory setting only if you
have trouble calling out on rotary lines
with standard touch-tone phones. (For
example, if users dial slowly and calls are
not completed or are connected to wrong
numbers, lengthen the timeout.) Use only
if the Dial Mode (#201) for at least one line
is set to "rotary."
DIAL #108
DIAL
1 = 4 seconds
2 = 8 seconds
3 = 12 seconds
OUTSIDE CONFERENCE
Determines whether users can include
more than one outside party in a confer-
ence call (affects all system users).
DIAL #109
DIAL
1 = Allowed
2 = Disallowed
PBX/CENTREX MODE
Customizes the system for operation with
Centrex or PBX. In PBX/Centrex mode, all
lines use PBX/Centrex settings, the system
uses Centrex features for conference calls
and call transfers, and phone numbers
dialed from memory (such as Speed Dial
numbers) assume a PBX dial-out code is
needed for outside calls.
IMPORTANT:
Using this procedure
disconnects any active calls but retains
system settings.
DIAL # 721
DIAL
1 = Active
2 = Not Active
SYSTEM RESET — PROGRAMMING
SAVED
IMPORTANT:
Using this procedure
disconnects any active calls but retains
systen settings. Use it only if the system
fails to function correctly after a power
failure or down period.
DIAL #728
