ROUTINE MAINTENANCE

10.10 REPLACING THE VGP SEALING UNIT

1) Lower the sealing head and fix it in the closed position by means of hook
2) Release the two side fixing hooks on the stainless steel cover
3) Remove cover C
by raising it.
4) Deactivate the electric connector
5) Detach the two tubes, red and black
same time pulling the tube.
6) Unscrew the four knobs
7) Lift the entire sealing unit
insertion pins and the cutting units (blades and film-retainer profiles).
8) Insert the sealing unit vertically, taking care to centre the four threaded pins.
9) Lock the unit in place by means of the four knobs
11) Insert the 2 red and black tubes in the two unions, pushing them to fit flush (approx. 7mm). Insert the electric con-
nector, blocking it by means of the trip lever.
11) Hook the stainless steel cover, guiding with one hand the corrugated tube
the opening in the cover.
WARNING!!! THE TRAY DIE MUST BE COMPATIBLE WITH THE SEALING UNIT (AS OTHERWISE, THERE WILL
BE IRREPARABLE DAMAGE TO THE BLADES). THE SEALING UNITS WITH THE CUT-OFF SEAL MUST ONLY
BE USED WITH THE CORRESPONDING TRAY DIE. IN ORDER TO CHECk THE COMPATIBILITY, COMPARE THE
SEALING UNIT LABEL (VISIBLE ON THE TOP PART OF THE SEALING UNIT, WITHOUT THE STAINLESS STEEL
COVER) WITH THAT APPLIED ON THE DIE: THESE MUST BE IDENTICAL.
