6. START OF THE SYSTEM
6.1. Start of the cooling module
(1) Switch on the cooling module using the ON/OFF switch (see Fig. 2).
(2) Start the software and check the IP address.
(3) Connect the software with the cooling module using the Connect button.
6.2. Installation of the Sample Tray
(1) Load the sample tray with the sample vials.
(2) Slide the sample tray into the autosampler so that the tray's rear fits tight to the back of
the autosampler.
(3) Press down the front part of the sample tray to snap in and close the cover.
6.3. Water level check
NOTE
Only authorized persons are allowed to refill the cooling water in order to prevent water from
flowing into the system!
(1) Prior to first operation check the water level at the viewing window (see Fig. 2).
It should be within the min/max marking when the pump is not working. If necessary,
please contact a service engineer to refill distilled water).
(2) Please check the water level also during operation and a longer break as well as before
every restart.
6.4. Setting of Parameters for the Sample Tray Cooling
NOTE
Even if you use an OpenLAB driver, keep in mind the equilibration time that is needed when
the method changes and you use methods with different cooling temperature.
In the software window select the cooling temperature for the sample tray (see chapter 5.2).
The cooling module is started when the method starts (with OpenLAB driver) or when Set is
clicked (with stand-alone software).
As soon as the sample tray reaches the set temperature (corresponding to the settings made
in Method or Config), the LC system gets the Ready signal.
Standalone Software:
Before starting the LC sequence the first time, wait for another 10 - 15 min so that the
temperature in the sample vials can become stable.
