Replacing the perlon cable and cable sleeve
INFORMATION
Compressing the compression spring
Screwing the cable sleeve too far into the upper joint section impedes
releasing the lock as a result of compressing the compression spring.
1) Disassemble the joint (see: Replacing the bushing and axial
washers).
2) Pull out the perlon cable in question with the lock wedge and compres­
sion spring.
3) Unscrew the threaded sleeve and replace the perlon cable.
4) Optional: Replace the cable sleeve or shorten to 10 mm above the out­
let opening on the upper joint section.
5) For installation, screw the cable sleeve 3 mm into the upper joint section
and secure it with Loctite 241.
6) Assemble the orthotic joint and secure all screws with Loctite 241.
8 Disposal
Dispose of the product in accordance with national regulations.
