CAUTION:
Do not drive on public roads if the machine's transport height is more than
4 m (when transported, transport height should be lowered on the tractor
links Fig. 25).
Also check whether the machine does not exceed maximum permissible
values (weight, axle load, towing device load, etc.) according to valid
regulations.
Do not drive the machine on public roads, if its transport width is more
than 3 m.
Also check whether the machine does not exceed maximum permissible
values (weight, axle load, towing device load, etc.) according to valid
regulations.
5.6.
Switching from transport to working position – version without control
CAUTION:
Switching the mower from operating position to transport position and vice
versa could only take place on even and stable ground. Prior to approaching
works make sure whether there are no unauthorized persons exposed to
getting crushed.
make sure there is nobody around in the place where you are going to lower the mower,
lower the mower until the cutterbar is at least 500 mm above the ground,
tighten the cord until the lock Z is released (Fig. 16b) and by means of hydraulic cylinder put
the mower into horizontal position,
with tractor's lever lower the cutterbar to reach the horizontal position in a possibly slow way,
unblock the lock, lower the mower until the cutterbar touches the ground,
fold side safety curtain,
using upper link C (Fig. 15) set the required mowing height. Extending the link C decreases the
mowing height, while shortening increases the mowing height.
5.7.
Preparing mower for operation – mower with hydro-pneumatic unloading
CAUTION:
For the machine storing period, cylinder rods are lubricated at SaMASZ with
protective grease in order to protect them against weather conditions that can
shorten their service life. Before any operation with the machine remove
excess grease coming out of cylinder rods.
mount the machine on the 3-point linkage. Connect hydraulic hoses, control panel power cord
and signal cable RS 232,
set in working position,
lower cutting unit so it touches the ground,
optimum angle of the cutterbar in relation to the ground should be between 0° and 5°. This
angle is the result of tightening or extending the link. The same principle applies to mowers
equipped with conditioner or rollers,
slowly engage the mower drive until cutting disks reach their nominal PTO rotating speed of
950–1000 rpm. Tractor's engine rotary rate should be as low as possible, so that the fuel
consumption could be reduced,
engage proper tractor gear and start mowing. Even meadows can be mowed at any driving
speed, however as unevenness occurs reduce the speed.
