Caution
Always use the supplied ESD wristband when working with a powered ONS 15454. For detailed instructions
on how to wear the ESD wristband, see the Electrostatic Discharge and Grounding Guide for Cisco CPT and
Cisco ONS Platforms.
Caution
A fan-tray assembly (15454E-CC-FTA for the ETSI shelf or 15454-CC-FTA for the ANSI shelf) must be
installed in a shelf where a GE, ADM-10G, or OTU2_XP card is installed.
Caution The fan-tray assembly 15454-M6-FTA2 (for the M6 chassis) or 15454-M2-FTA2 (for the M2 chassis) must
be installed in the shelf where a 100G-LC-C, 10x10G-LC, or 100G-CK-C card is installed. The fan-tray
assembly 15454-M6-FTA2 (for the M6 chassis) must be installed in the shelf where a CFP-LC card is installed.
Note
The 100G-LC-C, 100G-CK-C, 10x10G-LC, or CFP-LC cards can be installed on the ONS 15454 M2 or ONS
15454 M6 chassis mounted with either of the following:
• Standard brackets on a 19-inch or 23-inch ANSI rack configuration or on an ETSI rack configuration.
• Inlet air deflectors on a 23-inch ANSI rack configuration or on an ETSI rack configuration. The exhaust
air deflectors cannot be used.
