Mesh nodes require the following equipment. The
cards and patch panels should already be installed
before you begin this procedure.
• One 40-MUX-C card per side of the mesh node
(up to 8 sides per node)
• One 40-DMX-C card per side of the mesh node
(up to 8 sides per node)
• One 40-channel patch panel tray per side of the
mesh node (up to 8 sides per node)
• One 40-WXC-C card per side (up to 8 sides per
node)
• One 80-WXC-C card per side (up to 8 sides per
node)
• One 16-WXC-FS card per side (up to 8 sides per
node)
• One 40-SMR2-C card per side (up to 4 sides per
node)
• One MPO-MPO fiber-optic cable per side (up to
8 sides per node)
• One LC-LC fiber-optic cable per side (up to 8
sides per node)
• One PP-MESH-4 (four-degree), PP-MESH-8
(eight-degree), or 15454-PP-4-SMR
(four-degree) mesh patch panel tray depending
on the type of mesh node you want to install
Note
Use the PP-MESH-4 or PP-MESH-8
mesh patch panel trays for the
40-WXC-C or 80-WXC-C cards and
the 15454-PP-4-SMR mesh patch
panel tray for the 40-SMR2-C card.
