Connecting the Battery
(Model 07236TC Only)
No Parts Required
Procedure
WARNING
Incorrect battery-cable routing could damage
the machine and cables, causing sparks.
Sparks can cause the battery gasses to
explode, resulting in personal injury.
• Always disconnect the negative (black)
battery cable before disconnecting the
positive (red) cable.
• Always connect the positive (red) battery
cable first.

Squeeze the battery cover to release the tabs
from the battery base

Remove the battery cover from the battery base
(Figure
4).
3.
Install the positive-battery cable (red) onto the
positive (+) terminal of the battery and secure
the cable with the bolts and nuts
(Figure
4).

Slide the insulator boot over the positive
terminal.
Note:
possible short-to-ground from occurring.
5.
Install the negative-battery cable (black) onto the
negative (–) terminal of the battery and secure
the cable with bolts and nuts.

Align the battery cover to the battery base
(Figure

Squeeze the battery cover, align the tabs to
the battery base, and release the battery cover
