Troubleshooting
When the { { { { Facsimile} } } } Key is Lit in Red
If this key is lit, refer to the table below and take the appropriate action.
Problem
Paper has run out.

The paper output tray is full.
The machine is in RDS (Remote Diagnostic
System) mode.
A facsimile error has occurred.

Solution
Add paper.
See "Loading Paper" in the General Settings
Guide.
Note
❒ When the { { { { Facsimile} } } } key is lit in red even
papers are loaded, [Thick paper] or [OHP]
might be selected for paper type for the
tray. If [Thick paper] or [OHP] is set for the
tray, papers in the tray will not be used for
facsimile function such as printing re-
ceived documents, lists or reports. Confirm
the paper type setting in System Settings.

Settings Guide.
Remove the paper from the tray.
Wait with the main power switch on. The ma-
chine will enter the standby mode after it exits
from the RDS mode.
The facsimile has a problem. Contact a service
representative. The copier will still function
normally.
