Die Lösung des Problems
Reduce the pressure applied when tamping the coffee
powder (see: 'Tips for Best Results').
Reduce the intervals for descale the espresso machine
(see: 'Care and Cleaning / Descaling the Appliance'). If
the water hardness in your area is extremely high, it may
be better to use low-mineral table water (see: 'Tips for
Best Results / The Water Quality').
Clean the filter basket (see: 'Care and Cleaning / Cleaning
the Filter Basket and Portafilter'). Always remove used cof-
fee powder immediately from the filter basket. Thereafter,
rinse the filter basket with hot water (see: 'Operation /
After the Extraction'). If the problem persists after cleaning,
replace the filter basket. Contact your vendor.
Use fresh coffee beans and coffee powder with a grind size
suited for espresso machines. Pre-ground coffee powder is
labelled accordingly. Adjust the grind size of your coffee grin-
der somewhat finer (see: 'Tips for Best Results').
Use at least 1 measuring spoon of coffee powder (see:
'Operation / Filling in Coffee Powder'). Stop the extraction
in time for adjusting the amount of extracted espresso to
the amount of coffee powder.
To press the coffee powder into the filter basket, apply a
sufficient pressure via the provided tamper at the handle of
the measuring spoon (see: 'Operation / Filling in Coffee
Powder').
The extraction is controlled manually. Terminate the
extraction in time by pressing the espresso button (see:
'Operation / Starting the Extraction').
Ensure that each cup is placed correctly below one of the
spouts. Otherwise, the espresso may run down at the
exterior of the cups.
Always dry the filter basket thoroughly, before filling it.
Otherwise, the water may run through at the rim of the
filter basket.
