Note: For a new install, the FMD must be partitioned (followed by a
reboot).
Procedure 9 outlines the steps required to upgrade the CPPM BIOS to
Version 15 for Call Server applications.
Procedure 9
Upgrading the CP PM BIOS to Version 15
1 Using a bootable Call Server RMD, create a directory titled bios in the
RMD root directory.
2 Place the LMDU74AA_0015.ROM file in bios directory on your RMD.
3 Connect to Serial Port 0 of the CPPM.
4 Insert the RMD in the faceplate compact flash location, reset CP-PM and
select faceplate boot option.
5 At the Main Menu, select <t> - To Tools Menu.
6 From the Tools Menu, select <t> - To replace CPU board BIOS.
7 Confirm the file name and bios upgrade. The flash then erases/
reprograms and returns to the tools menu.
Note: Do not interrupt the flash upgrade process.
8 Click the RST button.
9 The card reboots and the upgrade is now complete.The BIOS Version is
updated to NTDU74AA 15.
Changes included in Version 15:
1 Pressing F to force the card to boot off the faceplate drive will immediately
cause the card to attempt to boot instead of delaying until all '.' have
printed.

1 The CMOS configuration option to configure the CP-PM slot has been
removed to avoid confusion.
Changes included in Version 13:
1 Screen corruption during BIOS display has been cleaned up.
2 Manufacturing tests have been completed and are included in FBUG.
