Sequence counter

The technology module has one sequence counter per channel, which counts the completed
output sequences. Output sequences that were successfully completed as well those that
were not successfully completed are counted. When the HW enable is being used, there is a
possibility of very short output sequences that are not reliably detected by the CPU. With the
help of the sequence counter, a check can be made in the user program to determine
whether output sequences were initiated.
The number of output sequences is supplied in the feedback interface (Page 32) using the
value SEQ_CNT. You can monitor the completion of an output sequence with this value.
When the HW enable is being used, the sequence counter counts from 0 to 15. When the
HW enable is not being used, the output sequence is started exclusively by the
SW_ENABLE control bit, and the sequence counter therefore counts only to 1.
The counter returns to 0 as soon as SW_ENABLE is reset as well as after an overflow.

High-speed output

The high-speed output function enables an output frequency of a maximum of 100 kHz with
an output current of a maximum of 100 mA. A high-speed output generates very steep
edges. The high-speed output generates signals at a higher frequency, but provides a lower
maximum load current. The high-speed output is only available in two-channel operation.
The following table presents the value range of the pulse duration and frequency depending
on whether or not the high-speed output function is activated:
