2.2
Operating modes
The technology module supports the following operating modes:
Operating mode
Pulse output (Page 21)
Pulse width modulation
PWM (Page 34)
Pulse train (Page 63)
On/Off delay (Page 79)
Frequency output
(Page 95)
PWM with DC motor
(Page 108)
14
Meaning
output of a single pulse with defined On delay and variable pulse dura-
tion (e.g. for dosing using a switch valve)
Closed-loop current control, e.g. for controlling the temperature in a
heating resistor
Output of a frequency with defined period duration and variable duty
cycle (e.g. for controlling a proportional valve)
Optional dithering: superimposition of a dither signal on the PWM
signal for improving proportional valve control
output of a train of pulses with defined period duration and variable pulse
count
pulse output follows the signal at digital input DI0 after a defined switch-
ing delay (e.g. for delayed output with higher output current)
output of pulses with variable frequency and fixed mark-to-space ratio of
1:1
Output of a bipolar PWM signal with variable duty cycle for controlling a
brushed DC motor in both directions of rotation
