Instructions to remove the rear bracket and the extrusions:
1. Dismantle hood assembly. Refer to 6.3 Dismantling the Hood Assembly.
2. Remove the screw caps (8 caps) and unscrew the M5 screws to remove the hood rear and
front covers.
3. Pull and hold the swivel actuator knob and then disengage the PWA hood harness through
the hood pillar.
4. Unscrew the front bracket (4 screws) and slide out the heater, hood top plate and hood
spacer plate.
5. Unscrew rear bracket (4 screws) to disengage hood extrusion.
2. Replace the hood extrusion with a new one.
Instructions to reassemble the hood assembly:
1. Fasten the rear bracket with screws (4 screws).
NOTE: Do not overtighten. Only bottom out the spring washer.
2. Replace the hood spacer plate, hood top plate and heater and fasten it with screws (4
screws).
3. Pull and hold the swivel actuator knob and engage the PWA hood harness through the
hood pillar.
4. Fasten the hood rear and front covers with M5 screws and replace the screw caps.
